Douwe Uding studied Civil and Business Law in Leiden. From 1 June 1992 till 1 January 2000 Douwe worked as a lawyer at Houthoff Buruma in Amsterdam and since then he has worked for our law firm. He specializes in Employment Law.
Within this specialism Douwe primarily focuses on individual and collective Redundancy Law and advice regarding employment contracts and related contracts. Douwe has both an advice and a litigation practice and in this capacity he advises a number of large Dutch and international companies in the area of Employment Law. One of his advisory efforts is dedicated to the crossroad of company Law and Employment Law, e.g. the position of the director under the articles of association and the Employment Law aspects of mergers and takeovers.
